where is the doc for import

David Goodenough
If I use the import_stl function openscad tells me that this is to be
removed and that I should use import instead.  But looking in the
documentation there is no mention of this deprecation in the section
in import_stl, and I can not find the import function.

Any clues?

It works the same way, just use import instead of import_stl

The documentation is user-contributed. If you find any discrepancies, feel free to update the wiki :)

That is difficult to do if I do not know that the arguments are.  Would it
not be an idea to use something like the javadoc so that the description of
each function is embedded in the source next to the function so that it is
more likely to be updated when the code is changed?

I understand that doygen is the relevant tool, but I have never used it.

That's indeed a good idea -> on the TODO list.
