release candidate 1 bug - animation

donbright
on my machine, animation appears to be broken.
in 2011.06 the animation is somewhat smooth.
in 2011.12rc1 the animation is flashing blank images between each
frame, and its very slow.
has anyone else seen this?

I always thought the animation was pretty stuttery but I never used it in 2011.06 until now. Yes, the animation is much smoother in 2011.06.
I have mostly used the latest openscad code since I started using it around June 2011, and I first used the animation a couple months ago and it was already doing the flashy thing at that point, so this has been happening for quite some time.

The flickering part is fixed.
The slowness might be related to debug vs. release builds. Rendering with debug builds are really slow, probably due to rendering being done in immediate mode with tons of eigen operator lookups.
