problem with latest bleeding edge OS X version

I get a " Can't open STL file for STL export."
I tried a lot of locations and names.

Anyone!?

And that after:

Total rendering time: 11 hours, 10 minutes, 9 seconds

Rendering finished.

Ouch :(

I cannot reproduce this on my machine. Have you managed to reproduce
this with a smaller model?
I have updated the bleeding edge version to give a more descriptive
error message, so next time this happens you'll get to know why the OS
thinks the file couldn't be opened.

How are you generating the model?  Is it purely OpenSCAD script or a
mix of script, STL parts and/or DXF imports?

I've run into capacity issues with extruded DXF source with lots of
detail (i.e. lots of holes composed of arc segments instead of simple
circles).  Breaking up the task into smaller parts sometimes helps:
extrude each DXF individually to create a set of STL parts, then
import those STL parts into a master OpenSCAD file to construct the
final model.
