openscad+emc ll+other cad system compatibility

Dom Francis
Buon Giorno Teste di Tecnologia;
our group has formed a 501,C-19 non-profit thru the
American Legion for the express purpose of creating career
jobs in mfg for our Veterans especially our most deserving
citizen, our DAV's. we have dismantled a mine bldg & are now
pouring the foundation to erect this bldg on our land. this
bldg shall be the beginning of a school to teach the essence
of mfg technology, with emphasis on chemistry, metallurgy,
physics & the material selector.the ethical application of these
disciplines shall be foremost.
we are entirely self-funded,no welfare,no bs govt grants,
no specious tax breaks,no 'stimulus' hand-outs.we have purchased
our land ,machine tools, instruments & books out of our own
pockets.
we have lotsa questions that we believe you 'teste di tecnologia'
can help with:

#1:    how compatible is your OpensCad with other cad/cam systems

#2:    with EMC II (we intend to use Linux exclusively)

#3:    with the neat Servo-To-Go motion control board (& others we should know about)

#4:    tecno advice helping us update 'Mt.LeBlond' (10 ton,3 axis VMC)to a pc-based cnc

        MT LeBlond oem equip includes a Bendix 5M controller(circa 1978) & a Gettys N150
1 phase, full wave thyristor amp for each axis(3 phase to the VMC of course).the servos are Gettys 16series ~220 in lb,33A@190V,
weighing in at ~100 lbs each.(this aint no bridgeport type).feedback devices are Harowe
resolvers which were gonna retain(we need to insert a A/D card so the STG can read output,
Analog Devices,IR?)we wish to retain the amps & have been told they are damn near bullet-
proof & to forget converting to any PWM system(mosfet or igbt). the Bendix outputs +or -
7.5vdc. the STG is 10vdc. the Bendix port is parallel type, the STG is too.this signal goes to
the Gettys amp which feeds power in proportion to the voltage increment fed to it.
hoooookay, this is probably enough for an initial 'Buon Giorno'.any help forwarded to
our 'teste dell ingranaggio' will be enthusiastically shared with your members.

May God Protect Our Valiant Warriors,
