is it possible to add SVG or DXF output for single faces of a model?

Tim Noble
Hi all,
I'm really enjoying working with openscad as a relatively new
programmer.  I would like to use it to model objects to be cut with a
laser cutter.  unfortunately, to do that i need an output other than
STL or OBJ.  Are there plans to add some sort of 2D output to the
program?  If so, is there some way that I could help?
Thanks,
Tim Noble
