import() SVG with layer= ?

Is layer= supported for import() of SVG files?

This is a very important feature! We should consider adding layer support for SVGs ;-)

SVG does not support layers, but Inkscape SVG does. So I'd say the layer attribute should work as long as the svg file is actually an Inkscape SVG one...
