'hull()' requires watertight children ??

Henry Baker
Isn't it a bit too finicky/nit-picking/anal of 'hull()' to require child nodes that are watertight?

Isn't 'hull()' a useful tool for making certain things watertight ?

It's a shame that 'hull()' can't be used for this purpose.

OpenSCAD version 2013.06

// This example works:

hull()
polyhedron(points=[[0,0,0],[1,0,0],[0,1,0],[0,0,1]],
triangles=[[0,1,2],[1,0,3],[1,3,2],[0,2,3]]);

// This example doesn't work:
// (leaving out the last triangle)

hull()
polyhedron(points=[[0,0,0],[1,0,0],[0,1,0],[0,0,1]],
triangles=[[0,1,2],[1,0,3],[1,3,2]]);
