Hi, I've been struggling to find good info on using fonts in openscad.
I've got a matrix of 100 variants on a push fit plug to laser cut, and I
want them all labelled before cutting. I'm looking for a single line font
that I can easily use with a laser cutter.

Any clues?

Unfortunately there is no true 'single line' capability in OpenSCAD
yet. There is an open issue:

https://github.com/openscad/openscad/issues/99

Someone may have come up with a hack but i havent seen it.... most
font stuff out there seems to be based on bitmaps or outlines...
