... for Windows, hopefully free

I need to capture OpenSCAD behaviour that is temporal.

VLC should do screen capture on Windows, IIRC.

There's also HyperCam and CamStudio, both of which have free versions.

Probably overkill, but obsproject (free) and fraps (free but feature limited) will do motion screen capture on Windows. It's what people tend to use when recording themselves playing games on YouTube.

I tend to favour my MBP when doing screencaps of OpenSCAD because QuickTime Player does it, which is bundled with the OS.

There's also XSplit apparently (https://www.xsplit.com/download).

Thanks everyone.

For posterity:

I tried VLC, but it didn't record the cursor. It is not obvious how to do it, but a quick search get instructions.

I tried obsproject, couldn't initially get it to work. You need to right click in Sources.

Tried Hypercam 2 (the free one) and it did a nice job, including graphically showing clicks.
Movie will Premier shortly.
