How do I save an image?

Dan Zuras 3D

        Folks,

Can anyone tell me how I can save an image of
        something I have rendered?

I would like to show some of them to someone
who does not have OpenSCAD software.

        Thanks,

                           Dan

as far as i know, the only way to export an image is to take a
screenshot of openscad.

as an alternative, you could export to stl or another 3d format for them
to view in a 3d program.

Hey Dan-

There's actually an option to export a ton of pngs... if you go to "View" menu and then "Animate." You can set a bunch of options, one of which is "dump pictures"...

Cool.  I'll give that a try.

Actually, on the advise of the others, I have been
taking screen dumps to make my pictures.  But I will
try that next time.  It might produce better results.

        Thanks,

Just FYI: This function actually just dump screenshots, so the quality should be the same as for manual screenshots.
