Help with repairing STL file

Miro Hrončok
Hi guys,

this is not OpenSCAD related, but you might be able to help. We've
been requested to print  this STL
http://files.hroncok.cz/reprap/prvni_pulka.stl

I am not able to repair this crap using tools I know. It crashes my
Meshlab, and Netfabb produces nothing usefull.

Is here anyone, who is able to repair this crappy STL?

Thanks a lot,
Miro Hrončok

It looks like you have multiple intersecting objects - this file could need cleanup in (the original?) modeling tool rather than in a post-processing tool.
I managed to cut out the largest connected component and do a mesh decimation before Meshlab decided it was time to die..

Re: Help with repairing STL file

Peter Uithoven
Opens and slices just fine in my Cura version (13.03) on OS X.
(I laid it flat before I sliced it)
It probably won't print properly though, I'll have to add some support.
(I can't add the gcode file because of a size limit)

Best regards,
Peter

Here's the gcode file to proof it.
