Help Calculating Dimensions

Peter Zich
Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to determine the dimensions of the bounding box for particular geometry. In this particular case I'm importing an STL file and would like to know the bounded dimensions of it. Is there a way to obtain this information?

Thank you,
Peter

The easiest way I've found to do it in OpenSCAD is to add a cube,
using the background modifier to make it transparent, and adjusting
the size until your STL just fits inside it.

There are better ways to do it using other tools. For instance, if
you're on OS X, try Pleasant3D.
