2D primitives not rendering at origin?

Katy Hamilton
Hi,

I fired up OpenSCAD (v. 2013.01.08) this afternoon and started seeing some odd behavior. When I create 2D primitives they're at the origin relative to X and Y, but not Z. Should it be working this way? I've attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing.

Granted, I usually work in mm, so I would rarely encounter a circle with a radius of 1 (as seen in the screenshot). It's possible things have always worked this way and I only just noticed, but I'm running a class using OpenSCAD soon and would like to be able to answer in case anyone asks. :-)

Thanks,
Katy

It's been like this from the start, and nobody can remember why :/
It's still a 2D object and it won't affect output - it's just a rendering artifact.
